Kayukiro Foundation

According to the fact that there are generally no homes for old people in Uganda, makes it difficult for our elderly, who completely have no means of living to seek or receive any help whatsoever.

We initiate our efforts basing in Jinja. Jinja is the biggest city in eastern Uganda and the capital of Busoga province.

The goal of this foundation is to set up a center, at least in each district where our elders can receive support, be it in form of medication, necessary equipments, financial or physical support.

The nation and the world should not forget our elder generation. They also need to live a decent and worthful life in their last years. They should be given the chance to transfer their knowledge and culture to the youngest as long as they can.

Our aims are:

1. Set up centers in each district where the elderls can receive free medical treatment and support.

2. In each of these centers there should be a place where elders who completely have no relatives can stay and be taken care of.

3. In times of a pandemic like now with covid 19, the elderly should be given a chance to have access to test centers and if necessary to be isolated and or treated.
